A large B2B order signed with a long-term European customer (customer name: ***) for a total of 200,000 meters of chenille jacquard fabric (order number: ***), shipped in 5 40HQ containers. During port inspection, the customer found that the lightfastness of dark-colored fabrics in 3 batches (approximately 120,000 meters) was only grade 3, lower than the contract-specified grade 4 standard, causing noticeable fading after two weeks of exposure to natural light. The customer immediately suspended shipment of the next 4 batches of prepared goods and filed a quality complaint with our company, demanding full return/exchange and compensation for processing losses caused by the production line stoppage.

Our company immediately established a special quality task force, arranging the foreign trade business manager *** and quality inspection supervisor *** to fly to the customer's factory for on-site re-inspection. After confirming the problem, we immediately initiated the return and replacement process: 1) Conducted full inspection and sorting of the 120,000 meters of problematic fabric already at port, and agreed to accept the customer's return; 2) Urgently coordinated with the factory to reschedule production, conducted color fastness pre-testing on the same batch of yarn in stock, replaced the masterbatch with a new one, and adjusted the heat-setting temperature process, improving light fastness to grade 4-5; 3) To shorten the customer's waiting time, the replacement goods were shipped in two batches combining air and sea freight—30,000 meters by air for emergency use, and the remaining 90,000 meters by sea; 4) Covered the return freight, import customs clearance fees, and port operation costs incurred due to the return and replacement; 5) Provided a USD discount for the customer's production line downtime labor losses, to be deducted from the next order payment.
