On-site Large-scale Customer Training Service Case (training Service)

Problem description

After receiving the first batch of large distribution boxes and circuit breaker assemblies, the customer's installation team made multiple wiring errors and inconsistent configurations due to insufficient understanding of our product installation specifications, wiring requirements, and subsequent maintenance procedures, affecting the commissioning progress of the factory power distribution system. This order is large in scale, involving a total of 6,000 sets of junction boxes, circuit breakers, and distribution boxes. The customer requests that the personnel skills shortage be resolved as quickly as possible and subsequent batch shipments be completed and accepted while ensuring the production line does not stop.

Solutions

1) Held an emergency remote meeting with the client's procurement and engineering manager (***) to confirm the list of issues and priorities, and to develop an on-site training plan. 2) Dispatched a training team composed of our senior engineers (including 2 electrical engineers and 1 quality inspection engineer) to the client's factory (location: ***) to conduct a 5-day intensive training and on-site guidance. Training content includes: demonstration of standard installation procedures, wiring specifications for junction boxes and circuit breakers, common fault diagnosis steps, terminal torque and anti-loosening measures, product model and configuration verification methods, compliance considerations for export certification and quality inspection points before mass shipment. 3) For different client shifts/teams, formulate separate class schedules and provide bilingual training materials and operation manuals in Chinese/English, while conducting hands-on exercises on-site: demonstrate correct wiring on the client's actual distribution boxes and have trainees repeat the operations; engineers record and correct each trainee’s first 10 assembly sets item by item. 4) Establish "sample workstations" and "self-inspection checklists" for the client to self-check during subsequent mass production; provide 30 days of remote support and weekly online Q&A sessions, and deliver a training report and a list of corrective action recommendations for non-conformities to the client after the sessions. 5) Implement assessment methods for key teams; upon passing, we issue a technical qualification certificate to be used as the basis for subsequent batch acceptance.

Processing result

Through on-site centralized training and hands-on guidance, four assembly teams from the customer participating in the training (about 48 operators and 6 on-site engineers) reached a level within two days where they could independently complete standardized assembly. After training, the first batch of 2,000 improved assemblies was jointly spot-checked by us and the customer; the defect rate dropped from the original 7.8% to 0.6%, and shipment acceptance efficiency increased by approximately 65%. The customer then independently promoted the “model workstation” and self-inspection process on the remaining production lines according to the training method. Problem description

Solutions

1) Our company will immediately initiate the after-sales emergency procedure: within 48 hours we will dispatch a technical engineer to connect online with the customer *** to confirm the number of nonconforming units and defect types; 2) We will review the third-party inspection report provided by the customer. If the issue is confirmed to be a production batch problem, we commit to unconditionally replace or refund 120 nonconforming units and complete replacement shipment within 7 working days; 3) For the remaining 4,000 finished sets from the same production batch, our company will proactively suspend shipments and perform batch traceability on inventory and 100% appearance and sealability spot checks (increase sampling to 10%, and perform full inspection for any batch where problems are found); 4) To expedite replacements, priority will be given to allocate from existing qualified inventory and arrange expedited production line restart; transportation will use air freight and expedited customs clearance to shorten delivery time; 5) For the customer's direct loss claims due to production stoppage, our company will, after confirming the scope of responsibility, proactively advance payment of reasonable losses that conform to contract terms, and reserve the right to adjust the amount later based on inspection results and mutual negotiation; 6) To prevent recurrence, we will organize the supply chain and quality departments to perform root cause analysis, adjust assembly processes, and add online inspections for critical procedures, produce a written corrective report to submit to the customer *** and accept customer supervision and acceptance.

Processing result

Our company completed the replacement shipment of 120 defective units within the agreed 7 working days and provided a third-party reinspection report. The remaining products of the same batch were confirmed compliant after a 10% sampling inspection and a full inspection of the problematic batch, and supply was resumed. For the customer's reasonable direct losses due to work stoppage, the parties reached a partial settlement after providing vouchers and calculating according to contract terms; our company paid an advance to alleviate the customer's urgent needs. Remote Technical Support Service Case - Large-scale Circuit Breaker Communication Configuration And Parallel Commissioning

Problem description

After arrival of an imported batch of 1,200 smart miniature circuit breakers, the on-site control system could not recognize the breakers' Modbus communication addresses, preventing integration into the production line power distribution monitoring. The customer reports that the breakers display normal status, but SCADA polling times out and device data returns are abnormal, affecting energy consumption monitoring and fault alarms across the workshop. They require restoration of remote monitoring capability within 72 hours to avoid impacting production scheduling.

Solutions

1) Remote preliminary diagnosis: By reviewing the network topology diagram and packet capture files provided by the client (client info ***), we confirmed that the on-site gateway and the breakers use an RS485-to-Ethernet gateway, and the baud rate and parity configuration were inconsistent. 2) Configuration deployment: Via a secure remote connection (client-agreed VPN account ***), we accessed the on-site gateway and standardized the gateway and breakers to 19200,N,8,1. We batch-deployed a Modbus address mapping script in the gateway to change breaker addresses from the default 1–50 to the client SCADA-required range 1001–2200. To avoid risk from a single operation, we applied an address deployment and verification strategy in batches of 200 devices. 3) Collaborative testing: After each batch, the client’s on-site engineer (ID ***) executed the bulk read/write test scripts we provided and returned the test logs and packet captures. For anomalous devices we performed remote parameter rollback and reinitialization commands, and deployed matching firmware (upgrading firmware from V1.02 to V1.05) to fix communication stack compatibility issues on a small number of devices. 4) Parallel commissioning and monitoring: After all device addresses were configured and validated, we guided the client to gradually add the breakers into the SCADA device list, enabled polling and set transitional alarm thresholds, monitored data consistency in real time, and scheduled our engineers to perform two re-inspections and log reviews within 24 hours.
